Privacy policy

Sentio ("we", "us") builds decision-support software for retail futures traders. This page explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data. Email, hashed password, and any profile fields you provide (display name, timezone).
  • Product configuration. Your model parameters, discipline rules, session settings, and enabled models. Stored per account so the product behaves consistently across devices.
  • Journal and outcomes. Trade notes, journaled outcomes, and any commentary you attach. Sentio uses these to power the closed-loop discipline features (session mutes, size caps).
  • Usage telemetry. Anonymised page views, feature usage counters, and error reports. No keystrokes, no chart content, no PII.
  • Billing data. Handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We store customer and subscription IDs; we do not store card numbers.

2. What we do not collect

  • Broker credentials or API keys — Sentio has no order-placement integration.
  • Real-time positions or account balances from your broker.
  • Screenshots, browser tabs, or any content outside the Sentio product.
  • Third-party ad-tracker data — we do not run behavioural advertising cookies.

3. How we use the data

We use personal data only to operate the product, provide support, and satisfy legal obligations. Specifically:

  • Account authentication and session management.
  • Delivering the scanner, discipline, and journal features you configured.
  • Sending transactional email (receipts, security alerts, feature releases you opted into).
  • Product analytics — aggregate feature usage, in an anonymised form, to inform what to build next.
  • Fraud prevention and abuse detection.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data (profile, journal, configuration) is deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely because they no longer identify you. Billing records are retained for the period required by tax law in the jurisdiction of the payment processor (typically 7 years).

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify incorrect data.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Export your data in a portable format (JSON).
  • Withdraw consent for optional data uses at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@sentiotrader.com.

6. Subprocessors

Sentio uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Stripe — payment processing (billing data only).
  • AWS — infrastructure hosting (EU-West-1 region).
  • OpenAI & Anthropic — AI features (model builder, rule parser, chart-image parsing). Prompts are ephemeral and not used to train third-party models under our contracted terms.
  • Your broker — CME futures market data feed, consumed read-only via your existing broker credentials. Sentio never places or modifies orders.
